Act I — The Table

5:20 PM — the fire does the talking.

Dinner off a wood-fired grill.

Dry-aged, hand-cut steaks over real fire. The Stinger — Buffalo's greatest sandwich argument. A vegan menu that regulars swear by even when nobody at the table is vegan. This is the part of the night you'll pretend was the whole plan.

Act II — The Bar

8:12 PM — nobody's reaching for their coat.

Fourteen taps, real cocktails, and the game on.

The table migrates to the saloon. Espresso martinis and Boulevardiers for the ambitious, Big Ditch and Labatt for the loyal, a Loganberry Mule for anyone who wants Buffalo in a copper mug. The kitchen's open till 10 — order the calamari now and thank yourself later.

Dinner for Two Giveaway — Official Rules

These rules govern the “Dinner for Two” giveaway (the “Promotion”) run by The Steer Restaurant & Saloon, 3151 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14214 (“The Steer,” “we”). By entering, you accept these rules.

1. No purchase necessary

Entry is free. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 21 or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.

3. How to enter

Submit your name and email through an entry form on steer716.com. One entry per person per drawing; duplicate entries count once. Your entry stays in the pool until a drawing is held or the Promotion ends.

4. Drawings

Drawings are held from time to time, on dates chosen in our sole discretion. There is no fixed or recurring drawing schedule, and we make no commitment as to when or how often drawings occur. Winners are selected at random from all eligible entries on file at the time of the drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

5. Winner notification & verification

The potential winner is contacted at the email address they entered with and must respond within 7 days. Winner status is not final until we have confirmed eligibility. If a potential winner cannot be reached, does not respond within 7 days, is found ineligible, or declines the prize, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected at random.

6. The prize

One dinner for two at The Steer: up to $150 toward food for two guests in a single visit at 3151 Main St, Buffalo, NY. The $150 limit covers food only — alcoholic beverages and gratuity are not included and remain the winner’s responsibility, as does any amount over $150. The prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit. It must be redeemed within 90 days of winner confirmation. Approximate retail value: $150. Any taxes on the prize are the winner’s responsibility.

7. Publicity

Winners are announced by first name only on our social channels. By accepting the prize, the winner consents to that announcement.

8. Email

Entering subscribes you to email from The New Steer; unsubscribe anytime. Unsubscribing does not withdraw an entry already in the pool, and winner notifications are sent by email regardless of your marketing preferences.

9. General

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Promotion at any time; entries on file remain eligible until a drawing is held or the Promotion ends. Our decisions on all matters relating to the Promotion are final. The Promotion is governed by New York law and is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram or Meta.

10. Errors & lost entries

We administer this Promotion in good faith, but we are a restaurant, not a data company. We are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected entries; clerical or typographical errors in processing entries or in Promotion materials; failures of email delivery, databases, or third-party services; or other human or technical error in administering the Promotion — and an entry that does not reach the pool cannot be included in a drawing. We are likewise not responsible for entries submitted with an incorrect or inactive email address; winner notification goes to the address exactly as entered. By entering, you agree that your sole remedy for an error in administering the Promotion is inclusion in a future drawing where feasible, that our total liability in connection with the Promotion will not exceed the value of the prize, and that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, you release The Steer from any other claim arising from participation.
